DBM Consultants was established in 1984 by Neil Megahy. The company continues to serve the local area and National Clients from its base in Motherwell.

Current Directors are Gordon and Carol Megahy.

Gordon Megahy B.Sc.(Hons). C.Eng.,M.I.Struct.E., M.I.C.E. -  Managing Director.

Gordon Megahy graduated in Civil Engineering at Strathclyde University in 1985. After spells with a National Contractor and a Glasgow based Consultancy Gordon joined DBM in 1989. He became Chartered in 1991 gaining membership of the Institution of Structural Engineers. Membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers was gained in 2001. He is particularly interested in Timber Frame Design and spent time as Technical Director of a National Timber Frame Manufacturers in 2006/2007.

Carol Megahy B.Sc.(Hons). - Financial Director.

Carol Megahy graduated in Pharmacy at Strathclyde University in 1986. Carol joined DBM in 1998 working part time. Carol made a full career change in 2006 bringing full time Managerial skills developed in 20 years of Retail Pharmacy Management to DBM Consultants.

Martin McCreadie B.Eng.(Hons) - Associate

Martin graduated in Civil Engineering with Architecture at the University of Glasgow in 2003. This degree programme, in conjunction with the MacIntosh School of Architecture, provided an appreciation of Architectural principles and an understanding of the interaction between Architect and Engineer. Before joining DBM Consultants in 2004 Martin began his career with BRE Scotland where he provided a range of consultancy on environmentally focused projects and trained as a BREEAM Assessor. Martin currently enjoys a variety of structural design consultancy with DBM and is primarily focused on timber kit construction ranging from standard domestic dwellings to multi-storey commercial and residential buildings.

Martin was appointed at Associate in November 2009.
